What Your Membership Includes
The concierge fee pays for one thing: your doctor's time and availability. Here's what that actually looks like in practice.
24/7 Access
Call or text your doctor any time — nights, weekends, holidays. No answering services or nurse lines.
Same-Day Appointments
Need to be seen today? You will be. No more waiting weeks for an opening.
House Calls
Your doctor comes to you when you need it. No urgent care waiting rooms, no ER copays for non-emergencies.
Extended Visits
Appointments last 30 to 60 minutes. Enough time to actually listen, examine, and explain — not rush you out.
Direct Cell Phone
You get your doctor's personal cell number. Not an office line, not a portal message. A real phone number.
Comprehensive Coordination
Your doctor coordinates specialist referrals, reviews all results, and manages your care as a whole — not in pieces.
How It Works with Insurance
Concierge medicine does not replace your insurance. It works alongside it. You keep your plan and gain a level of access that insurance alone can never provide.
Membership Covers Access
Your membership fee pays for your doctor's time and availability. Think of it as a retainer — you're paying for the relationship, not individual visits.
Insurance Covers Services
Labs, imaging, specialist referrals, prescriptions, and hospital stays are still billed through your insurance, just like any other doctor.
They Work Together
The membership and your insurance complement each other. One gives you access. The other covers procedures. You don't choose between them.
Is Concierge Medicine Worth It?
Patients who switch to concierge medicine rarely go back. Here's what they say about the value.
Fewer ER Visits
“I used to go to the ER for anything after hours. Now I call Dr. Soffer and he handles it — or meets me at the office. I haven't been to an ER in two years.”
Problems Caught Early
“My doctor noticed something on a routine exam that my old doctor never would have had time to find. Early detection probably saved my life.”
Time Saved
“No more sitting in waiting rooms. No more taking half a day off work for a 7-minute appointment. I get seen the same day and I'm in and out.”
Peace of Mind
“Knowing I can call my doctor at 10 PM on a Saturday and actually reach him — that alone is worth it. You can't put a price on that kind of security.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the concierge membership fee cover?
The fee covers your doctor's time and availability — not specific procedures. It includes 24/7 direct access, same-day or next-day appointments, extended visits (30 to 60 minutes), house calls in the Boca Raton area, comprehensive care coordination, and a physician who limits their practice to roughly 50 patients so they can actually know you.
Do I still use my health insurance?
Yes. Your insurance continues to cover labs, imaging, specialist referrals, prescriptions, hospitalizations, and procedures — exactly as it does now. The membership fee is separate and covers the enhanced access and time you get with your physician.
How is concierge medicine different from direct primary care (DPC)?
Both models involve a membership fee, but concierge medicine typically works alongside your existing insurance. Direct primary care usually replaces insurance for primary care services. In a concierge practice, you still bill insurance for covered services — the membership covers the access, availability, and extended time that insurance doesn't pay for.
How do I learn about specific pricing?
We're happy to walk you through exactly what the membership includes and what it costs. Every patient's needs are a little different, so we prefer to have a conversation rather than list a number. Call us at 561-468-6981 or fill out the form below to schedule a no-pressure introductory call.

Dr. Benjamin Soffer, DO
Board-certified internist. Former Chair of Internal Medicine. Associate Professor at FAU. Dr. Soffer limits his practice to 50 patients so he can do medicine the right way.
“The fee isn't for luxury. It's so I can have 50 patients instead of 2,500. That's how I give you the time and attention you actually deserve.”
